Customer Service Representative
Our client in Fishers needs a Customer Service Representative to join their team. The company distributes environmental and safety equipment and has grown steadily through the recent economic challenges. They are seeking someone to help them grow their business even more.
He / she will spend the majority of his/her time working with customers and distributors and the rest of the time working with internal departments such as sales, warehouse and finance to meet customer requirements. Duties will include but are not limited to entering and tracking sales data (customer names, addresses, contact #ï¿½s) and orders; taking customer orders via telephone, fax, the internet and email; expediting orders, including tracking production schedules, communicating problems and delays, tracking shipment status; handling customer complaints; running sales reports; taking change requests and directing them to the appropriate departments; composing letters and proposals; tracking bills of material; and contacting customers to ensure they are satisfied with products and service and to build relationships.
The ideal candidate will be intelligent, well-spoken and able to quickly understand and follow directions. He/she will be able to work with minimal supervision while balancing multiple priorities. He/she will prioritize well, ensuring he/she remains focused on important activities and minimizing distractions. Detail orientation is critical as errors are costly. He/she will be naturally curious, with a desire to learn about and understand the company’s products and services. He/she will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. ERP system experience will be given top consideration. He/she will not be afraid to ask questions as he/she learns sales and customer service, and he/she will learn quickly with minimal need to have things repeated. He/she will always remain calm and professional in adverse situations. He/she will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. A pleasant smile, a good sense of humor and a can-do attitude will be given top consideration. College degree preferred.
