Our client, a Grocery Chain in Carmel, IN, needs 5-8 associates to spread the word to local job seekers about the new store they are opening. They are opening a store targeted to customers who really enjoy great food, and they need to hire hundreds of team members for their new store. We are looking for energetic, upbeat, passionate individuals who enjoy working with others and are comfortable representing our client to the community. Our associates will call on local organizations such as YMCA’s, unemployment support offices, churches, restaurants, libraries, and apartment complexes to inform them of the new store opening, job fair events and job opportunities. As brand ambassadors for our client, the goal is to promote the store opening and job opportunities in order to attract candidates by partnering with local organizations and businesses. Training is provided. Ideal candidates will be friendly and outgoing. Prior customer service and sales experience is desirable but not required. They will be comfortable calling on organizations in person and over the phone, and they will be able to work with minimal supervision as they canvass the community building relationships. Reliable transportation and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods are required. This is a temporary assignment for a month and the salary is $16.00 per hour. He/she will answer the phone and take messages or transfer callers to appropriate people, greet walk-in visitors, sign for packages and the mail, prepare documents and correspondence and perform other administrative duties. This individual will be responsible for maintaining files and records (in a confidential manner), scheduling quarterly review meetings, and distributing mailings on an event basis.
